A2Z ENERGY has extensive experience in forecasting wind and solar energy potential in Greece and abroad.
What We Offer
- Three-day forecasts (72 hours) for wind and solar irradiance at selected energy parks.
- Hourly forecast data based on the WRF/NMM model, which runs daily on high-performance computing facilities.
- The WRF/NMM model is initialised daily at 12 UTC using GFS analyses. Boundary conditions are derived from GFS forecast fields at an initial resolution of 0.5° × 0.5°.
- Processing at high spatial (4 km) and vertical (38 levels) resolution, ideal for areas with complex terrain.
Deliverables
- Wind time series data (speed, direction, and turbulence) at heights of 10, 50, and 100 metres.
- Solar irradiance time series data (direct and diffuse) on a horizontal plane.
- Estimated energy production for the selected period.
The forecast is integrated into energy analysis software and automatically sent every morning to a server selected by the client.
